Whistling Kite Vineyard is nestled on the banks of the majestic River Murray, approximately 250km from Adelaide, in South Australia’s Riverland.

Pam and Tony Barich, owners of the Whistling Kite Vineyard since 1976, have a firm belief that Biodynamic agriculture is our path to a sustainable and healthy future.

With Biodynamics a greater hands on approach is required, with many of the preparations and teas being made on site and used as nutrient supplements to enhance growth.  The concept of true sustainability is nurtured and is part of the broader picture to market ourselves as custodians of the soil, endeavouring to leave the vineyard a better place for future generations.

Whistling Kite Wines was founded in order to demonstrate the outstanding results possible through biodynamic farming practices and to demonstrate that through careful variety selection and sustainable farming practices, the Riverland is capable of producing organic wines of exceptional quality.  Hand-picked and basket pressed, all Whistling Kite Biodynamic Wines are made with care and attention… your wine drinking pleasure is our pleasure.

We are pleased to have been able to create a vineyard that radiates a sense of peace and serenity. A welcoming home for many native animals and bird life, whose energy enhances the amazing views of the River Valley.
